In February 2011 New Futures Nepal undertook its second major fundraising trek to Nepal.  This time to the Everest region where 20 brave supporters trekked in the Thangyboche region for 7 days and spent 3 days in Kathmandu.  The trek was spectacular and the highlight was the day spent at the Hope Centre.  This trek raised a substantial sum and we say thanks to all the generous people who sponsored the trekkers.  Read all about it on the website.

March 2011 saw two trustees visiting Kalimpong with a view to setting up a working partnership with the Hope Family Trust in Kalimpong.  The Hope Family Trust is about 200 metres from Hornbeam House, situated in the garden above.  The Trust cares for orphaned girls of all ages.  This partnership will give us greater security and increase our flexibility and scope in this politically unsettled area of India.
